I play this game frequently, it is pretty, simple and fun (with a good bit of humor in the mainframe descriptions) but it does suffer from chance clearly favoring the CPU controlled enemies. This wouldnt be a problem for most games of this sort except for the cost-to-attack and reward for victory are 2:1, so unless you are EXTREMELY lucky your main currency just to enter encounters depletes faster than you progress. Since the combat is rock paper scissors the strategy element is still governed by a CPU that favors itself.
Of course, you could by currency to continue taking the chance to win, but who wants to do that when the possibility to be stomped is so high? This makes the risk of attacking and losing fun, but I have a feeling that will fade as you make your way through the game.
Great initial value for a free game, but dont expect to complete it without dropping some dollars.
